TCHMB Data Co-Chair Application
Position Description: The Texas Collaborative for Healthy Mothers and Babies (TCHMB) is seeking applicants for an open position on the Executive Committee as Co-Chair for the TCHMB Data Committee. The role of the TCHMB Data Committee is to support and advance the overall mission of TCHMB to improve health care quality and patient safety for Texas mothers and babies. This position is also a voting member on the TCHMB Executive Committee.

Overview: The current priority of the TCHMB Data Committee is to support the promotion and utilization of the Maternal and Child Health Quality Improvement System (MCHQIS), a Texas Department of State Health Services platform used by hospitals and clinics participating in TCHMB QI Initiatives to capture and visualize initiative data.
Committee Overview: The Data Committee works to strengthen data quality and facilitate QI participants' effective use of MCHQIS to drive clinical improvements.
TCHMB Data Committee Co-Chair Suggested Areas of Expertise include:
Knowledge of Quality Improvement (QI), especially multi-center collaborations
Quality improvement (QI) healthcare analytics and visualizations
Data entry and reporting for quality improvement (QI) projects, especially experience with data entry in hospitals and/or clinics in Texas
Use of Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Breakthrough Series model and metrics for QI
Utilization of QI data to inform change and drive hospital or clinic improvements
Ability to train others, especially on data entry and/or visualization platforms
Position Term: The term of a Co-Chair is two years, with the opportunity to serve a second two-year term.
Role Expectations and Responsibilities:
Active attendance at quarterly TCHMB Executive Committee meetings,
Attendance at regularly scheduled Data Committee meetings,
Attendance at Data Committee Leadership meetings, the frequency of which is determined by the Co-Chairs,
Participating in the Data Committee initiatives, which may include presentations, reports, and webinars,
Sharing of TCHMB resources as relevant, and
Participating in other TCHMB Executive Committee meetings or events that may occur throughout the year.
