TCHMB Vice Chair Application
Position Description: The Texas Collaborative for Healthy Mothers and Babies (TCHMB) is seeking qualified applicants for the role of Vice Chair on the TCHMB Executive Committee. This leadership position plays a vital role in advancing TCHMB’s mission to advance health care quality and patient safety for all Texas mothers and babies through the collaboration of health and community stakeholders as informed by the voices of patients we serve.

🧭 Role Overview: The Vice Chair (Chair-Elect) is a voting member of the TCHMB Executive Committee and is second in line to lead TCHMB Executive Committee activities. This role is a six-year commitment:
2 years as Vice Chair
2 years as Chair
2 years as Past Chair
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
Serve as backup to the Chair and convene Executive Committee meetings when necessary.
Represent TCHMB at statewide or regional perinatal health meetings or events.
Participate in training and attend bi-monthly leadership meetings to discuss TCHMB governance, structure, operations, initiatives, and activities.
Support the implementation of the TCHMB Governance and strategic plan, including assessing and revising if needed.
Identify TCHMB priority areas and provide leadership and direction to the various TCHMB Committees.
Assist in recruiting TCHMB Executive Committee and Committee members and initiative participants.
Promote and share information with partners and organizations on TCHMB initiatives, events, and activities.
Attend quarterly onboarding trainings with new TCHMB Executive Committee members.
Attend at least 75% of all TCHMB Executive Committee quarterly meetings, complete the post-meeting survey.
Attend the annual TCHMB educational conference.
